Sample lesson #22 of 72

Ancient Minoans on Crete

Your Journey to Ancient Crete Begins Here

Years ago, I had the privilege of taking a group of students and parents from Dublin Schools all the way to the island of Crete—home of the Minoans and the legendary Labyrinth. As we stood at the ruins of Knossos, imagining the echoing footsteps of Theseus or the bellow of the Minotaur deep below, we weren’t just looking at stone walls. We were connecting with the earliest roots of Greek civilization.

We all joked—some more nervously than others—about being careful not to get lost in the labyrinth or become the Minotaur’s next meal! But that trip, like this course, was about something far more meaningful: making history come alive for young learners in a way that sparks curiosity, awe, and wonder.

That’s exactly what this sample lesson on the Minoans is here to do.

This isn’t just a free video. It’s a complete learning module that reflects the quality and structure you can expect from the full 72-lesson Classical Kingdoms Ancient History course.
